Although the Falcons (4-9) have been eliminated from postseason contention, the struggling Bucs (7-6), who have lost four of their past five after a hot start, are tied atop the NFC South with the Carolina Panthers. This game is a rematch of the season opener, a 23-20 Buccaneers victory.

Michael Penix Jr., who's out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury, was the starting quarterback for the Falcons that day, but Kirk Cousins is leading the way Thursday. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield got some good news Wednesday when receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan, who will be making his season debut, were activated from the injured reserve list.

Make sure to check back for the biggest plays from Raymond James Stadium.

**๐Ÿ”ฅ Barcelona Triumph Over Frankfurt! ๐Ÿ’™❤️⚽ But Defensive Problems Still Exposed Under UCL Lights ⭐**

Latest News      Business      Entertainment      Sports        Health        Education      Jobs

**Barcelona secure a strong win against Eintracht Frankfurt ๐Ÿ’™❤️⚽, but their defensive weaknesses remain a major concern under the Champions League spotlight ⭐. Get the full match analysis, key moments, and expert breakdown!**

#Barcelona, #Barca, #ChampionsLeague, #UCL, #EintrachtFrankfurt

Barcelona's return to the Camp Nou for Champions League play for the first time in more than three years was almost spoiled by Eintracht Frankfurt in a 2-1 victory on Wednesday. A second-half brace from Jules Kounde helped Barcelona overturn a deficit and win at home, but it's also a deficit that they never should've been in, as despite having ambitions to win this competition, the defense hasn't been able to hold up, while the attack hasn't hit the highs of last season either.

Previously, when a team went to the Camp Nou, it felt like a challenge that they wouldn't be able to overcome, but when players are speaking out about how they can study the offside trap, and it doesn't change and a team who allowed six goals in their last match can mark Robert Lewandowski out of a match, that mystique is gone.

There are a few reasons for that, as one is the offside trap and how, if players can stay in line or play around it, Barcelona don't have a true defensive stopper to play enforcer when a counter is getting out of hand, but their play style only works when their entire attacking band is in sync.

On Tuesday, it wasn't as Lewandowski only took 19 touches during the entire match, the fewest of any Barcelona starter despite playing 66 minutes. The 37-year-old took two shots, not putting any on target, and he has now failed to score or assist a goal in Champions League play despite playing in five matches. The lone match that Lewandowski didn't feature in was Barcelona's 6-1 victory over Olympiacos, which accounts for almost half of their 14 goals scored during the league phase.

Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford have also taken turns leading the line, creating a more mobile attack, and it's something Hansi Flick will have to think about as he sets up his team moving forward. Barcelona are set to make it through the league phase as they sit 14th after six matches. They could fall to 20th, but with Slavia Prague and Copenhagen as their remaining teams, they should be comfortably through.

The issue is that when Barcelona are expected to win the Champions League after making it to the semifinals last season, after six matches, they've scored 14 goals and allowed 11 goals. Facing top teams in UCL such as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, Barcelona have failed to get results there, showing the cracks in Flick's tactics when they can't control a game from start to finish. They've struggled with big teams and even ones they'd be expected to top easily.

Frankfurt had a chance of going in that direction, but Marcus Rashford and Kounde had to save them from allowing one of the easiest counters that you'll see. Nathaniel Brown played a ball that the Barcelona defenders couldn't get to, and Ansgar Knauff slotted it home.

Frankfurt have been far from defensive stalwarts as of late, which is where concern sinks in. If Barcelona can't take care of these teams with ease, how can they expect to push past teams in the knockout phase? It's easier to change the attacking personnel than it is to sign defenders, so this may be the time to begin looking into what life may be without Lewandowski leading the line.

**๐Ÿ”ฅ MNF Chaos! Chargers Lead Eagles 10-6 at Half After *6 Turnovers* ⚡๐Ÿฆ… | Monday Night Thriller**

Latest News      Business      Entertainment      Sports        Health        Education      Jobs

**The Chargers take a 10-6 halftime lead over the Eagles in a wild Monday Night Football showdown featuring six turnovers ⚡๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ”ฅ. Get the full breakdown, key plays, and what to expect in the second half!**

If you like turnovers, you probably had a great time during the first half of Monday night’s matchup between the Chargers and Eagles.

The two teams combined for six turnovers in the first 30 minutes of action. Even with all the sloppiness, Los Angeles leads Philadelphia 10-6 at halftime.

Chargers running back Omarion Hampton, playing for the first time since early October in his return from injury, scored to cap the Chargers’ opening possession with a 4-yard touchdown reception. It was the first TD catch of his career.

That was the only time either team got in the end zone, with turnovers and drives stalling opponent territory.

It was a particularly rough first half for Jalen Hurts, who had three turnovers — two of which came on one play when Hurts threw an interception, recovered a fumble, then fumbled himself to allow the Chargers to retain possession.

Los Angeles picked up a field goal on that drive before Hurts had another giveaway the next time he touched the ball. On second-and-10 from the Philadelphia 28, Hurts was looking for DeVonta Smith but was intercepted by cornerback Donte Jackson.

However, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was strip-sacked by Nakobe Dean on the next play with Byron Young recovering for yet another turnover.

Philadelphia got down to Los Angeles’ 2-yard line, but a holding penalty on left tackle Jordan Mailata wiped a touchdown off the board and put Philly behind the chains. The Eagles settled for a 30-yard field goal to make the score 10-6 with 48 seconds left in the half.

The giveaways weren’t over from there, as Herbert had his arm hit while throwing on a two-minute drill, leading to an interception by Adoree’ Jackson. Though Jake Elliott had time to attempt a 48-yard field goal, he missed it wide left to keep the score at 10-6.

Hurts finished the first half 10-of-19 for 95 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble. Saquon Barkley had a productive first half, totaling 69 yards on 13 carries — averaging a 2024-like 5.3 yards per attempt. A.J. Brown has two receptions for 33 yards.

Playing with a bulky glove on his left hand after it was fractured last Sunday, Herbert is 6-of-12 passing for 95 yards with a touchdown, an interception, and a lost fumble.

The Chargers have just five first downs and 127 total yards, while the Eagles have 11 first downs and 168 total yards.

Chargers right tackle Trey Pipkins is questionable to return with an ankle injury. Bobby Hart came in to replace him. Chargers receiver Derius Davis is questionable to return with an ankle injury. While Chargers safety Derwin James was checked for a concussion, he was cleared and returned during the second quarter.

Australia set a unique batting record in the second Ashes Test against England.

In the Test match being played in Brisbane, England scored 334 runs in the first innings thanks to Joe Root's brilliant century.

In reply, Australia scored 511 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 177 runs against England.

The Australian batsmen achieved a phenomenal feat in this innings with all 11 batsmen reaching double figures, a first in Ashes history.

The Australian team has previously achieved this feat against India in 1948 and again against Sri Lanka in 1992.

But it was the first time in the Ashes series played between England and Australia since 1882 that all 11 Australian batsmen reached double figures.

It should be noted that England has scored 134 runs for 6 wickets in the second innings by the end of play on the third day against Australia and is facing a deficit of another 43 runs
